Back to School: Campuses with Top Real Estate Programs

Summertime is coming to a close, which means a few things: football season is around the corner, the weather can’t decide between hot and cold and for some, back to school! For the college bound, intrigued or returning, Real Estate may very well be a study area of interest. While being in the industry doesn’t necessarily require a degree in the subject, certain campuses are well-known for preparing individuals for showing, selling and managing Real Estate. The list includes, but is not limited to the following:


University of Pennsylvania. Ranked the #1 Real Estate program in the U.S. as of 2015, U Penn presents its students with a variety of electives to choose from within the study area in order to discover what areas of Real Estate drive them the most. Equipped with undergraduate, certification and graduate programs in Real Estate, this well-known school excitedly prepares top students for providing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative tools that can help them shape the industry.

Univ of Wisconsin Real Estate

University of Wisconsin – Madison. Savvy with emphases such as urban land economics, the University of Wisconsin – Madison is considered a top 3 Real Estate program in the United States. Named after the late James A. Grasskamp, this program focuses on staying connected with its own community and lending its students to become privy with the area and the local employment options.

UC Berkeley

University of California at Berkeley. This Northern California school pairs its undergraduate Real Estate study area with its apprenticeship program in order to give students in-field, real world experience. Emphasizing the financial and economic aspects of Real Estate, students can learn the ins and outs of investment banking, consulting, insurance financial services and more, all which tie into the real estate market.

USC Real Estate Programs

University of Southern California. Tucked into a major part of the busy city of Los Angeles, USC offers a Real Estate program that prepares hopeful students to go big in the state of California. Renowned for preparing those interested in the craft for anything from property management to price per square-foot historical data. Often credited with producing some of the top Realtors, this university has no shortage of interested pupils.

NYU Real Estate program

New York University. It makes sense that one of the most expensive places to live in the world would have a top Real Estate program at the university located in the heart of the city. Ranked #6 in Real Estate programs, this east coast school prides its teachings on the many different areas within the state as well as communication, organization and ethical behavior with clients.
